Burger in a Bowl

Ingredients

  • 500g Lean minced Scotch Beef
  • 2 Red Onions
  • 15ml Olive Oil
  • 15ml Worcestershire Sauce
  • 150g Light Mayonnaise
  • 30g Tomato Ketchup
  • 30g American Yellow Mustard
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • ½ tsp Garlic Granules
  • Sea Salt and Black Pepper
  • 1 Romaine Lettuce
  • 200g Cherry Tomatoes
  • 100g Drained Crinkle cut Gherkins

  

Method

  1. Peel and finely chop one red onion.
  2. Sauté the onion and the lean mince with the oil in a saucepan until browned.
  3. Add the Worcestershire sauce, season with some salt and pepper and cook on a low heat for 6 mins until cooked through, stir while cooking.
  4. To make the burger dressing, mix together the mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, paprika and mustard. Put to one side.
  5. Peel the remaining red onion and slice into rings.
  6. Halve the tomatoes and shred the lettuce.
  7. Divide the lettuce, tomato, onion rings and the gherkins between four bowls.
  8. Make a well in the middle of each and put a quarter on the mince in each.
  9. Drizzle over the burger dressing and serve.
