Ingredients

  • 100g Self-raising Flour
  • 25g Cocoa Powder
  • 125g Caster Sugar
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 125ml Milk
  • 1 Medium Egg
  • 30g Vegetable Oil

Chocolate Glaze

  • 100g Dark Chocolate
  • 30ml Double Cream
  • 1 tbsp Butter

To Decorate

  • 25g Dark Chocolate
  • 80g Mini Eggs
  • 6 Hole metal doughnut tin greased with butter

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 190C/170C fan/GM5.
  2. Place all the dry ingredients for the doughnuts into a large mixing bowl and mix until fully combined.
  3. Place all the wet ingredients into a separate bowl and whisk to combine.
  4. Add the wet ingredients into the dry and whisk until fully combined and smooth.
  5. Divide the mixture between the 6 doughnut moulds (they will be quite full).
  6. Bake for 15 minutes until cooked through and then leave to cool.
  7. While the doughnuts cool make the chocolate flakes for the nest by grating the 25g of chocolate using a peeler.
  8. To make the glaze melt the dark chocolate, along with the double cream and butter, in a small bowl in the microwave for 30 second blasts until melted and stir until smooth.
  9. Dip the doughnuts into the chocolate glaze.
  10. Sprinkle the grated chocolate on top of the doughnuts to create a nest.
  11. Place 3 mini eggs in the centre of each doughnut and serve.
