1. ALDI Store Wi-Fi
The ALDI Store Wi-Fi is a free service available to all customers who shop in our stores, enabling them to connect to Wi-FI while shopping with us. By registering for and using the ALDI in-store Wi-Fi facilities (“Store Wi-Fi”), and in particular by submitting any information to ALDI (including your personal data) you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Section.
Types of Data
Information which you give us: We may collect and process the following data which you provide to us:
- information that you provide when registering to use the Store-Wi-Fi;
- information that you provide when you report a problem with our Store Wi-Fi;
- information that you provide through surveys or when asked to give your opinions about our services and products; and
- your e-mail address.
Information we collect about you: We may also collect and process the following technical information automatically when you log onto the Store Wi-Fi:
- the MAC address used to connect your device to the Service, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;
- information about the length of your use of the Store Wi-Fi, data consumed whilst on the Store Wi-Fi and any phone number used to call our customer service number; and
- information about you which is supplied to us by third parties when you use an account you already have with a third party to register with us. For example, the Store Wi-Fi service allows you to sign up to it using your social media credentials i.e. your Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus account. We will receive certain information from the social media platform you have chosen to use in accordance with the terms and conditions that you have agreed with them. If you are uncertain what information a third party may share with us, we recommend you review the terms of your account with that third party.
Uses of Data
Information you give to us: We will use the information you provide to us in order to:
- facilitate your access to the Store Wi-Fi network;
- send you marketing communications and other information about other goods and services we offer (if you have agreed to receive them); and
- notify you about changes to the Store Wi-Fi.
Information which we collect about you: We will use the information we collect about you in order to:
- allow you to use our Store Wi-Fi in a way that makes your browsing experience more convenient. For example, by enabling us to recognise the device you use when you return to one of our stores and wish to use the Store Wi-Fi again using that same device;
- improve our Store Wi-Fi. For example, knowing how and when our customers make use of the Store Wi-Fi allows us to streamline the user experience, speed up searches, identify bugs and make enhancements;
- administer the Store Wi-Fi and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
- improve the Store Wi-Fi to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device and also to improve our retail stores; and / or
- allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so.
We may combine information from other sources with the information you give to us and that which we collect about you. We may use this combined information for the purposes set out above.
Disclosure of Data
Further to the disclosures described in Section 7 (Disclosures of your Personal Data), we may also disclose your personal data to third parties in connection with:
- rating or reviewing the Store Wi-Fi; and
- the moderation, review and response to such ratings and reviews.
Third-Party Links
Where you use the Store Wi-Fi to access any non-ALDI websites (including any that may be linked from the Store Wi-Fi landing page), any information you submit to such a website will be controlled by the operator of that site, over which ALDI have no control. Accessing those websites may allow third-parties to collect or share data about you. Please check the relevant third-party privacy policies before you submit any personal data to them.

This processing is:
- necessary for the performance of a contract with you; and
- in accordance with our legitimate interests (to improve our customer’s experience of our Site / App and stores, keep our records updated, to learn more about how our customers use our products/services and to grow our business and to inform our marketing strategy).

Our main partner for the ALDI Store Wi-Fi is Trust Systems Limited. They are registered in England and Wales with company number 06013797 and their registered office is at L Unit 20 - 21 Cirencester Office Park, Tetbury Road, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England, GL7 6JJ.
2. Store CCTV
A number of our stores use the following surveillance camerea technologies:
- Closed Circuit Television cameras
- Body-worn cameras
Collectively referred to as "CCTV".
Types of Data
If you visit one of our stores your image may be captured on our cameras.
Uses of Data
We will use this data as and when it is necessary to review an incident at or around one of our stores. This data may also be used to assist in the detection and prevention of crime, and be used as evidence in the issuance of Banning Notices.
Basis for Processing
This processing is both necessary for us to comply with our legal obligations and in accordance with our legitimate interests (to improve our store security, prevent fraud, issue banning notices and assist the relevant authorities with any relevant investigations). It may also be reviewed for training and monitoring purposes, to ensure the health and safety of all our customers, colleagues and visitors.

3. ALDI & Netmums Programmes
Sampling Programme: The ALDI & Netmums Sampling Programme allows users to register to receive samples of ALDI Mamia products via the Netmums website – the Newborn Sampling Programme (entitling users to receive one sample delivery, subject to availability).
Product Testing Programme: The ALDI & Netmums Product Testing Programme allows users to register to Test ALDI Products.

Information which you give us: We may collect and process the following data which you provide to us:
For the Newborn Sampling Programme we will collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your address;
- your Netmums username;
- your proof of your age (trial dependent); and
- your pregnancy due date and/or baby pr child date of birth (trial dependent).
Uses of Data
We may use the data you provide in the following ways:
- Your email address: To contact you in relation to the ALDI & Netmums Programmes.
- Your address: to deliver the gift card/product and any associated documents to you.
- Your email address: If you consent to it, to contact you in relation to tailored marketing and offers relevant to your specific pregnancy journey. To contact you if you have signed up for future product trials or research.

Your consent when signing up for ALDI & Netmums Programmes, your consent to receiving marketing communications, offers and/or future product trials or research and our legitimate interests (to improve our customer’s experience of our Site / App and stores, satisfy orders and to learn more about how our customers use our products/services).

5. Get Set to Eat Fresh
Get Set to Eat Fresh is part of the Get Set family of education programmes. Created in partnership with the British Olympic Association and ALDI, Get Set to Eat Fresh uses Team GB athletes as a source of inspiration to encourage students aged 5-14 to cook and eat healthy, fresh food. Free lesson plans, activities and athlete films give young people the confidence to cook and feed themselves healthy food – everything they need to perform at their best in the classroom and on the field, supporting students to achieve healthy, active lifestyles.
Types of Data
Information which you give us: We may collect and process the following data which you provide to us:
- title;
- name;
- email address;
- job title or role;
- subject of interest;
- establishment/home address;
- telephone number (not compulsory);
- number of students user intends to use these resources with;
- how you heard about the programme; and
- age group of class.
Information we collect about you:
We record the following details about your use of the programme:
- date of last login;
- completion of programme milestones;
- resource downloads;
- video plays;
- anonymised survey data; and
- registration date.
When users upload a showcase or otherwise participate in the programme we may capture:
- name for story;
- date;
- establishment name;
- quotes about the programme;
- photos and videos;
- details of store visits completed in relation to the programme; and
- additional information provided at the time of upload.
When users use our “refer a friend” voucher offer:
- name;
- establishment address;
- email address; and
- name and establishment of referred friend.
Uses of Data
We will use the information you provide to us in order to:
- share the contributed showcases on the programme site;
- send newsletter emails to registered users, promoting resources and opportunities, and asking people to take part in surveys;
- to contact people who have sent in showcases, asking to use their testimonials;
- to use user’s details to fulfil prizes, especially if they have submitted a showcase or referred a friend;
- to send marketing communications;
- to understand profile and location of establishments, and teachers’ interests, audience and reach to better understand our audience and create new materials; and
- to evaluate the success of the programme and the popularity of resources.

6. ALDI Click and Collect
Our Click and Collect service provides customers with the opportunity to order products online and collect them from one of our designated stores.

Types of Data
Information which you give to us: By signing up to ALDI’S Click and Collect service, you may be asked to provide ALDI with:
- your name;
- your title;
- your email address;
- a password;
- your address;
- your billing address;
- financial data, including your bank account and payment card details;
- if you select age-restricted products, proof of your age;
- if you ask us to send you SMS text messages, your phone number;
- if you ask to be updated about new stores participating in our Click and Collect offering in your area, your postcode; and
- any feedback, experiences or comments which you choose to provide to us.
Information we collect about you: In addition to the above information, we may collect and process the following technical information automatically when you use the ALDI Click and Collect website:
- the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your device to the internet, your login information, details of the type of device you use, a unique device identifier and mobile network information (such as your mobile phone number);
- information about your use, including any products which you viewed or searched for, response times, download errors and bugs, time spent using the ALDI Click and Collect website and time between actions on the ALDI Click and Collect website;
- analytics information about your orders, including your order history, details of your average spend and details of your product preferences;
- any information stored on your device which you expressly consent to share with us when using the ALDI Click and Collect website; and
- information provided to us by third parties (such as business partners, sub-contractors, analytics providers and search information providers).
Uses of Data
Information which you give to us: We will use the information you provide to us in the following ways.
In respect of placing orders and collection:
- We will use your name, email address, password, address and billing address to contact you:
- in relation to your account (e.g. to send you a password reset email);
- to send you any order confirmation emails;
- if we are unable to accept your order;
- regarding the status of any click and collect order you place;
- to remind you of your chosen collection slot;
- to tell you about any products which will not be available on the day of your collection slot, and any appropriate substitutes we intend to offer you;
- to send you a collection receipt email once we have taken payment for your order;
- to ask for your feedback regarding your order, so that we can continue to monitor and improve our service;
- to notify you about any product withdrawals; and
- if it is otherwise necessary to do so in respect of your order and the performance of the contract between us (don’t worry, these won’t be marketing emails).
- We will use your financial data to take a pre-authorisation charge, to prevent fraud and subsequently take payment out of that pre-authorisation charge once you have collected your order;
- We will use your proof of age to verify that you are old enough to buy the products you have ordered.
- We will use your phone number:
- where you have selected that we send you SMS text message reminders about your order; and
- where you have sent us a text message to inform us of your arrival at a store.
In respect of our service availability emails: We will use your name, email address and postcode to email you when you have selected that we tell you about stores offering Click and Collect in your local area.
Information we collect about you: We will use the information we collect about you in order to:
- administer the ALDI Click and Collect website and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, analytics and other data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
- improve the ALDI Click and Collect website to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device;
- allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so; and/or
- make suggestions and recommendations to you and other users of the ALDI Click and Collect website about products or services that may interest you or them.

7. Kevin the Carrot Superfan Competition
The Competition is to search for the biggest Kevin the Carrot Superfan, with the chance to win the ultimate prize package.
Types of Data
Information which you give us: We may collect and process the following data which you provide to us:

- your Facebook account name and profile;
- your image which you provide via photo or video;
- if you win the prize, proof of your age via photo ID (UK driving license or passport); and
