Helping You To Recycle
We’re working hard to do our bit and make recycling a little easier for our customers. We have initiatives in place to help you recycle unique plastics such as cosmetics packaging and soft plastics as well as a new store opening fully focused on reducing carbon consumption and plastic. Find out more below.
Free Coffee Pod Recycling Service
We are proud to announce that we are the first UK supermarket to join the Podback Coffee Pod Recycling Scheme!
Podback
You can now recycle your plastic and aluminium coffee pods for FREE and they’re all collected and reprocessed right here in the UK.
To take part, simply:
1) Click the link where you can order your free recycling bag to your home.
2) Fill with your used plastic or aluminium coffee pods. (Please note - we can’t take any compostable coffee pods!)
3) Use the online Recycle Checker to discover how and where to recycle near you. Enter your postcode in the Recycle Checker and the interactive map will show you where you can recycle and click on your chosen location for details on how to recycle.
… And we’ll take care of the rest!
Thank you for support on recycling your coffee pods and reducing the amount of packaging that goes to landfill.
Cosmetic Recycling Near You
Recycling your cosmetic products could be easier and closer to home than you realise. Look for the green label on our cosmetics products and once you’re done with them, click below to find your nearest and most suitable recycling point to take them to.
Recycle In Store
It's never been easier to recycle when shopping in Aldi Stores. Pop your recycling into the correctly labelled section of the recycling bins, located near the packing benches in your local Aldi store. Whether it's mixed recycling, soft plastics, food waste, glass bottles or jars or general waste, every little recycling action helps.
Introducing our Eco Concept Store
In 2022 we opened a new eco concept store in Royal Leamington Spa. This has been specifically designed with sustainable building materials to reduce carbon consumption and will be home to several new plastic-reducing initiatives.
