Spiced Salted Honey Nuts

Delciously spicy yet salty, these nuts make a great snack.

Ingredients

  • 125g Whole Almonds
  • 100g Cashew Nuts
  • 100g Macadamia Nuts
  • 100g Runny Honey
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Mixed Spice
  • 15g Light Brown Soft Sugar

  

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 170°C/325°F/Gas Mark 3.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with non-stick paper.
  3. Put the honey, a teaspoon of salt, the mixed spice and chilli powder into a medium size bowl.
  4. Add all the nuts and mix well.
  5. Pour the nuts onto the lined baking sheet and spread out to a single layer.
  6. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, until golden.
  7. Take the nuts out of the oven and sprinkle over the brown sugar and the remaining salt.
  8. Return to the oven for a further 2/3 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool a little.
  10. Remove the nuts from the baking paper before they get too cold as they will stick to it.
  11. Pile into a bowl and serve.
