Griddled Garlic Baguette Steak Bites with Horseradish Cream

Juicy garlicy steak anyone?
Serves: 12 people | Prep time: 15 minutes (plus few hours marinating) | Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
- 2 Sirloin Steaks
Marinade
- 1 Garlic Clove, peeled and finely chopped
- 50ml Olive Oil
- 1 Sprig Fresh Thyme
Horseradish cream
- 3tbsp Horseradish Sauce
- 2tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Garlic Bread
- Bake at Home Baguette
- 25g Salted Butter
- 2 Garlic Cloves, peeled and minced
- 4g Fresh Flat Leaf Parsley, finely chopped
Method
- Trim off any fat from the steaks and discard, then cut each steak into 6 chunks.
- Place into a bowl with the olive oil, garlic and thyme.
- Cover with cling film and place in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
- To make the horseradish, mix all the ingredients together and season with pepper.
- Thinly cut the ends off the baguette, then slice slightly on the diagonal into 12 slices
- Combine the butter, minced garlic and parsley in a bowl and spread across each slice of baguette.
- Place the slices on a baking sheet and griddle or toast until golden and crispy.
- Remove the meat from the marinade.
- In a large frying pan, add a tablespoon of the olive oil from the marinade and add the steak chunks and the garlic.
- Fry for about 5 minutes, stirring as you cook, less time if you want a rarer steak.
- Sprinkle over the parsley and remove from the heat.
- Add a piece of steak to each bread slice, top with horseradish cream then sprinkle with more parsley.
