Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate

Warm and sweet. Just the thing on a chilly day – Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 1.36 litres (2pints) Semi Skimmed Milk
  • 1 100ml Double Cream
  • 200g Dairyfine Dark Chocolate
  • 200g Dairyfine Milk Chocolate
  • 3 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • Squirty Cream

To decorate/serve

  • 200g Dairyfine dark chocolate
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Crushed butter candies
  • Choceur salted caramel waves

  

Method

  1. Put the milk and cream in your slow cooker
  2. Chop the dark and milk chocolate finely
  3. Add to the cooker along with the vanilla essence
  4. Cover and cook on slow for 2 hours
  5. Stir a few times during cooking
  6. Take off the lid and cook for another 30 minutes on high
  7. Melt the remaining dark chocolate
  8. Spread half thinly over a board, allow to cool and harden- then using a sharp knife cut across to make curls
  9. Spoon the hot chocolate into cups top with squirty cream
  10. Top with marshmallows, crushed butter candy, caramel waves, chocolate curls and drizzle over the melted chocolate.
