Hazelnut Chocolate Spread and Banana Swirl Muffins

Ingredients

  • 250g Plain flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1 tsp. Baking soda
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 4 Medium ripe bananas
  • 180g Caster sugar
  • 1 Medium egg
  • 75ml Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 12 tsp. Hazelnut chocolate spread

  

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C Fan / Gas Mark 5 and line a 12 hole muffin tin with 12 paper cases.
  2. Place all the dry ingredients; plain flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a mixing bowl and stir until combined.
  3. Use a fork to mash the ripe bananas then add the caster sugar, egg, oil and vanilla extract into the bowl and whisk until combined.
  4. Add the dry mixture into the bowl and whisk until combined.
  5. Divide between the 12 muffin cases.
  6. Place a teaspoon of hazelnut chocolate spread on top of each muffin and use a cocktail stick to swirl into the cake batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Leave to cool and serve.
