Dracula Bite Cookies

Recipe

Add jam and marshmallows to chocolate chip cookies for a scary but tasty treat.

Ingredients

  • 125g Unsalted Butter, softened
  • Salt
  • 200g Self Raising Flour
  • 75g Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 125g Caster Sugar
  • 1 Medium Egg Yolk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

To decorate:

  • 200g Strawberry Jam
  • 12 Blanched Almonds, halved
  • 60g White Mini Marshmallows

  

Method

  1. Cream the butter and sugar together until smooth.
  2. Then beat in the egg yolk, vanilla and salt before sifting in the flour. Stir the chocolate chips into thesmooth cookie dough and then divide into 12 balls.
  3. Divide the balls equally between the 2 lined baking trays and flatten to about 1cm thick.
  4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°C/180C° Fan/Gas Mark 6 for 10-12 minutes until golden. While still warm, cut the cookies in half.
  5. Once cooled, spread a layer of strawberry jam on each biscuit, place marshmallow ‘teeth’ around the edge of one half and place the remaining half on top.
  6. Add 2 blanched almond halves as fangs on each Dracula mouth and serve.
