Ingredients
- 3 Pink Lady Apples
- 1 heaped tbsp Specially Selected Apricot Conserve
- 320g The Pantry Puff Pastry
- 2 tbsp The Pantry Icing Sugar
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
Method
- Preheat the oven at 190°C or Gas Mark 5.
- Slice the apples in half, cut out the core and slice into thin half-moons.
- Place the apples, lemon juice and half of the sugar in a bowl and top with water, covering the apples.
- Microwave for 3-4 minutes, until the apples begin to soften, drain the water and press the apples between kitchen paper until dry.
- Cut the puff pastry into 5 strips lengthways, brush with the conserve and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Lay the apples onto the top half of each puff pastry strip (rounded skin side standing a little proud of the pastry), overlap them like petals, fold up the bottom half of the pastry onto the apple and roll into a circle to create a rose.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
