Nutoka American Pancake Cereal

A chocolate-y, nutty twist on our American breakfast pancakes – served in a bowl with extra Nutoka or maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 250g Self Raising Flour
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tbsp Caster Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Medium Egg
  • 280ml Semi-Skimmed Milk
  • 100g Nutoka
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

To Serve:

  • Maple Syrup
  • Butter
  • Squeezy Bottle or Piping Bag

  

Method

  1. Place the flour, cocoa powder, sugar and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add the egg, Nutoka and milk and whisk until smooth.
  3. Pour the smooth pancake batter into either the squeezy bottle or piping bag.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a non-stick frying pan.
  5. Squeeze small dollops of batter, approx. 1-2cm diameter, into the pan.
  6. After 2 minutes flip over each mini pancake and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  7. Repeat the process until all the mixture is cooked.
  8. Serve the warm mini pancakes in a bowl, topped with a knob of butter and maple syrup and extra Nutoka.
