Supporting Parents, Every Step of the Way

At Aldi, we’re committed to supporting families through every part of the parenting journey – so no parent or carer feels alone.

That’s why we’ve partnered with PANDAS Foundation to help raise awareness of parents’ emotional and psychological wellbeing during pregnancy and the first years after birth – also known as perinatal mental health.

We want to ensure more parents and carers know what support is available when they need it most.

You may have seen messaging on our Mamia Sensitive and Extra Sensitive baby wipes and in-store materials, designed to start conversations about mental health from pregnancy through to early parenthood.

Our goal is simple: to help parents recognise the symptoms of perinatal mental illness and to signpost the free support available from PANDAS Foundation.

Why This Matters

Research shows that:

Three in four parents (76%)

experienced mental health struggles during or after pregnancy.

Only 17% of struggling parents

accessed specialist perinatal mental health services, and just 7% reached out to a charity or helpline — highlighting how hard it can be to find the right support.

Half (50%) of parents

who struggled said they wished someone had told them: “It’s OK to ask for help”.

Who Are PANDAS Foundation?

PANDAS Foundation is a UK charity dedicated to supporting parents, carers and their networks who may be affected by perinatal mental illness, from conception to the early years of parenthood.

All of PANDAS’ services are free, and they’re run by trained volunteers who understand the emotional challenges that can come with becoming a parent.

Whether you’re struggling yourself or supporting someone who is, PANDAS is here to listen, offer support, empathy and to help you feel less alone.
